Dexter Morgan is a blood spatter pattern analyst in Miami Metro Police Department, who is also living a secret life as a serial killer hunting down the criminals that got slipped away through the cracks of Jurisdiction. Orphaned at the age of three when his mother was murdered brutally inside a Shipping Container in front of Dexter. Harry Morgan adopts Dexter after this incident. Harry recognizes Dexter's homicidal tendency in the early age and taught him to channel his passion of Human dissection in a 'constructive way'- By killing only heinous criminals. His drive to kill is unshakeable, but he appears to others a normal human being who is a socially responsible citizen.
